Have got to say, this movie does not live up to the hype, It was just not my kind of film,
like Tex said the graphic nudity is not required, there were some really good moments in the movie, but the relationship between the two buddys was not realistic, imo.
Would have to say it was a waste of time. And the ending was disturbing.

the director uses humour but also shows wrong sides of society. and it's a good way to see many aspects of mexico.

 amazing movie. I like biys and girls, what's the problem??
I saw the last thirty or forty minutes of the movie yesterday, I caught it in the part the boys are swimming naked in the pool  , right before Julio tells the other guy he had sex with his mother . The movie was amazing in the sense it captures all the sexual wild nature of the youth  . "**** the conservatives" is the message I got  . In a world that is in route of complete accomplishing the purpose of the sexual revolution, this is the kind of movie EVERYONE needs to watch. I did not get shocked with the sex scenes, because I also like boys and girls. Actually, the movie would be nonsense hadn't the two guys kissed each other and slept together . The scene is perfect, dramatic, for a kiss just happens motivated by several Tequila shots and also by the girl, who blowjobs both of them simultaneously, so they can get closer. The kiss is wanted, unavoidable, the most sincere kiss they ever kissed. Yet, it's ashaming for them, that's why so much tequila before it. It's also shy in the beginning, standind as a contradiction to the group sex that's happening. Perfect! The director got the appeal: two male love each other, a common thing that happens everywhere since the beginning of history, but society erects several walls since its childhood to prevent what it considers an "abomination".
I think that just those who know how difficult is to be a man who has to hide the desire for other men because of the stupidity of the society can appreciate how deep into the question the movie gets. It's a must-see movie.
If you get shocked with this... sorry, you are a conservative, so **** yourself too.

Well, I have to disagree with the "this movie is a porno" review. Yes this movie does have some very VERY strong sexual scenes but I would'nt label it as porn. If you seen Caligua and 9 1/2 weeks then you pretty much have an idea of what will happen in this movie. The characters do look very real and the acting is not so bad. I don't have much to say about a review but for me this is a good movie and an excellent experience for sexual scenes in movies.
If you want to watch a movie in which things like sex, cheating, lying, drinking, drugs, politics, youth, and life choices are made then watch Y tu Mama tambien. I would suggest you watched it with a person of the opposite sex so that after the movie you can have a discussion of the events and the reasons people behaved in this movie.
