Chapter 1:
I was resting at Blue Moon Inn, and then people started bothering me. At least my friend came in and told me she knew someone that would keep them away. She left and this guy came, his name was Unmask Child and well he did a good job keeping the peeps from bothering me. Then this one dude private messaged me and asked me out. Well I didn’t want to say yes or no...... I didn’t even know the guy!
“Karen, you shouldn’t go out with him…I know him very well and let’s just say he’s an airhead.” Unmask said interrupting my thoughts.
“Well I think he’s a cutie,” I said back and left the room to go to the room he was in. “I accept your offer” I said to the guy and his face lighted up and I could feel Unmask get nervous. I wish I knew why……
“Ok, um, meet me here tomorrow? And I’m Jackson by-the-way; you can just call me Jack.” He winked and left down the stairs and Unmask followed him. I went down the stairs after a few minutes of standing there. I turned to the kitchen and that’s when everything seemed…..slow…….a man appeared and put his sword up to my throat and forced me to go down this ladder in the kitchen. Down there it was lit by just two torches and there was another man standing in the shadows. He looked up and motioned for the other guy to let me go.
“Karen, it’s been a long time, you probably don’t remember me since you were little,” The man in the shadows said. “My name is Aaron, and I need you to do me a favor…I know you can do this and trust me you will be greatly rewarded”
I looked up from staring at my feet, I remembered now….Aaron was my guardian since my parents never came here….

"what is it you want?" I asked
"well, first i want you to become one of my spies, and second, you know that boi who asked you out...well i need you to spy on him for me."Aaron answered.
"and what is it you want me to learn about Jack?"i asked.
"It's not really just Jack its also that other kid Unmask Child and well i just want you to see what there up to....."he trailed off and i knew he was hiding something, but i didnt ask. "If you wish to leave you may go now." Aaron then said. I took a last look at the other guy and saw his red eyes underneath the hood he was wearing. I climbed up the ladder and head out the kitchen door, through the ally, and into my small home. I laid on my bed thinking about what had happened and then i drifted off to sleep.........
"Aaron tell me a story." a little girl said.....me.....
"Ok, around here they say there will be three choosen children, ones who will save Varrock and other villages. They say that the children will be called Unknown Child, Life Child, and Dream Child.
"Well Karen thats all i really know of the Children." Aaron said sitting on the edge of my bed.
"But what can the Children do.....i mean do they like have special powers like the wizards?"
"Like i said, thats all i know." He got up and left the room.
I woke up suddenly and realized that Unmask had that Child in his name....but then Aaron never mentioned a Unmask, just Unknown, Life, and Dream. I quickly got dressed and headed outside, the sun barly risen. I ran down the almost quiet streets of Varrock and into the castle grounds. The only place i knew of, that had legend books, was the library in Varrock castle. I sneaked around to the side where the kitchen door was and slowly walked in, hopeing that none of the servents were working. No one was alowed in the castle unless you had business to take care of with the king. I closed the door quietly and went through the next door, which lead me into the hall. I walked slowly over to the small library and saw that the doors were already open. I walked inside and searched the bookcases for a book about the Children. Once i got to the second row a book droped and made a loud noise. I froze, afriad that someone might have heard me......which someone did........a shadow came creeping down the ally way of bookcases. I backed up hopeing the shadow would hide me, but then i saw that it was Jack.
"what r u doing here?" i whispered to him, comeing out of the dark. He looked at me and put away a book that he was carrying.
"I was just trying to found out about a legend" Jack answered.
"same with me." i said back, walking slowly out of the library and into the kitchen and stopped.
"what kind of legend?" Jack asked behind me.
"the one about the Children." i said.
"same with me....what do you know about them?"
"well, all i know is there name.....i was trying to find out what they can do."
"oh," Jack looked disapointed. "uh, see you this afternoon." he then left and headed north towards the wilderness. I headed home and went back to sleep and woke up about a few hours later. I then got dressed and headed to the Blue Moon Inn. I waited for about five minutes then got worried. I sat down and decided to wait a little longer.
"Hes not coming." Said a familiar voice behind me.

Chapter 2:
“What do you mean he’s not coming?” I asked. Unmask walked over to the exit.
“Because you were a failure...” He said and left. I got up and ran after him.
“What do you mean I’m a failure?” I yelled at him. He turned west when he got to the market place and headed for the gate and yet I still followed him. When he passed the gate, he suddenly stopped.
“Well it’s because you don’t know anything that we were looking for, so you were useless to spy on.” He said facing me.
“Well maybe I was spying on you too” I said to him and then covered my mouth just realizing what I said. Unmask just smiled and turned around.
“If you want to know something maybe you should follow me…”He said walking more to the west. I didn’t know why I followed him I just did, curious. We passed Barb. Vill. and headed into Falador and he then headed southwest. I still followed and he led me across this plain and onto a small road leading to a house with the ocean right next to it. I froze; it was such a beautiful site. Unmask went into the house while I still stared at the ocean.
“Do you want to know about the Children or not?” He called out. Then I got confused, cause, how did he know I wanted to learn about the Children….is this why Aaron told me to spy on him, I thought to myself. I walked into the house, it had a bookshelf to the left and a bed close by, and to the right was the balcony for a nice view over the ocean. He closed the door behind me and went over to the bookshelf.
“We wait for someone, why don’t you sit down.” He waved his hand and a chair appeared out of nowhere. I sat down feeling tired from the long walk. Yet I still told myself to be cautious. Unmask looked out the window and then drew a book out of the shelves and flipped through the pages. The door opened and a boy walked in…..he looked almost just like Jack.
“Does he look familiar, Karen?” Unmask asked and stopped flipping through the pages. I took my eyes off the newcomer and looked at Unmask.
“Sort of.” I answered. The newcomer walked over to Unmask and whispered in his ear.
“Well, of course, it is Jack btw,” Unmask closed the book and put it away. He made another chair appear and he sat in it backwards and faced me.
“Unknown Child has the power to do unknown, so he’s unpredictable. Life Child,” Unmask looked at Jack. “Has the power to bring people to life and heal. And last Dream Child, has the power to dream of anything and learn everything. Well you know by now that Jack is Life Child, yet you’re still trying to find out who the other Children are…..” Unmask stood up and the chairs disappeared, making me fall to the ground.
“I’m afraid I have to kill you now, Karen” Unmask said, smiling evilly. I got up to make a run for it, but then Jack/Life Child made a fast move and tackled me, and pinned me to the ground. I tried to call out for help but my voice seemed to disappear. I looked at Unmask and saw him turn green and grow small and skinny. He then became a snake and slithered over to me. And as he did I felt myself change, I grew brown fur and started growing small too. Jack let go of me surprised.
“She’s a mongoose.” He said quietly. Unmask then hissed angrily and tried to bite me with his poison. I dodged it jumping up, my eyes turned red, and I scratched Unmask. He didn’t seem to be affected since he was already changing back to his human form. He waved his hand and I went flying, hitting the wall, and by the time I reached the floor I changed back. Jack came up to me and grabbed my hair, making me stand up.
“You’re smart, changing into a stupid mongoose,” Unmask said walking over to me. “And you’re lucky I changed my mind about killing you….for now.” Jack then sent me a private thought saying that I should do whatever Unmask tells me and not tell anyone about this. Jack let go of my hair and teleported out of the house.
“You should run back to Varrock if I were you, someone might be waiting.” Unmask said and teleported out too. I walked out of the house and looked at the ocean which had the reflection of the sunset. I looked away and headed back east to Varrock.
