Besides, I'm sure a lot of the people who are "dead serious" are just trying to think of good matchups that people will discuss so that the member who created the thread becomes a little more reputable.

For the most part, they fail, but who are we to tell them not to try? Sure, they should use the search function...but that comes with being part of the community for a while.
