School of Rock
To those that havent seen it yet I highly reccomend it. Some have said it was a great movie others have said it was okay and I will not watch it again. If you like Jack Black and his type of movies you will most likely like it.
It starts off with Dewey Finn, who is in a rock band that throws him out. He lives with a friend, a substitute teacher,and his girlfriend. Dewey has no job and no money, so one time when a school calls for his roomate, Ned Schneebly, Dewey takes the job as Ned and teaches the kids to be a rock band and play at this huge rock fest.
I would rate it a 8/10.

Yah, if you dont like Jack Black like me, dont see it....
Personally i dont find him funny at all..and this movie well, it was typical Jack Black. Obnoxious and trying to be too funny. It's tenacious D in a movie, with a side order of cutie putey kids. (sarcasm)....
But if you do, well you probably will enjoy it.

I loved the classic rock in this movie...it instantly made it a hit for me.
I like how he had to sit there and talk all the goody goody kids into enjoying life a little more, and i like how he befriended the prinicipal. But I feel the same way about Jack Black as Samas does...Jack Black's style of comedy in this movie was a little weird for my taste. Sorry it isn't a better review...i just had to comment on this since i saw it yesterday.

Jack Black reminded me in this film of a high school guy who thinks he's cool and funny, when in reality, people think he's a loser.

Much better than I expected. Considering I saw the phony TCM remake the night before, School of Rock was a relief.
