Theres stacks of books i would love to come out to movie.
Umm lets see Maybe the Matthew Reilleyt Books "Contest" would probably be the coolest.
Some of Raymond E. Feist Books Such as "Magician" would be good too. Clive Barker "The Great and Secret Show" would be a good horror movie.
BTW, im happy that they are making Chronicles of Narnia into a movie. But with Disney doing it, im thinking they might make it more kiddie like. I just hope it ends up as good as the books were.

Nausea by Sartre.

And yes, "Series" was awful.

To some length, I think that there is limited gain that movie makers can have using books as basis for movies. They definately need to be creative in the way they choose to show the books visually. Also, they need to not worry whether fans of the book will apreciate the film. They never do.

In the catagory of films that were excellent adaptations of books, the judges need to be non-fans or objective people that will judge the movie based on its own merit. Thus I have created a column of movies and the books that they have been based upon. These are the best ever.

"Adaptation" The Orchid Thief
"Fight Club" Fight Club
"Apocalypse Now" Heart Of Darkness
"Lonesome Dove"(a mini-series) Lonesome Dove
"Blade Runner" Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep
"Sin City" A series of Sin City graphic novels

I know that they are making the novel by Dan Brown-The Davinci Code- into a movie. But in my opinion, I think that the prequel- Angels and Demons- would be a much better movie. I enjoyed it more. Anyone agree??

The novels that MUST be made into movies are "Fear Nothing" and "Seize the Night" by Dean Koontz. If they got the right actors..preferably unknowns..and the right director..they could be the best movies ever. Well..next to Episode III of course.

If I had to choose a book or/and series I would choose Searching for Dragons (even though it is centered around elementary and junior high kids) it was a really interesting set smile reading lol

These Sci-Fi books would make great movies,

Arthur C. Clarke - Rendezvous with Rama

Robert A. Heinlein- The Moon is a Harsh Mistress

Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle - The Mote in God's Eye

Robert A. Heinlein -Stranger in a Strange Land

Larry Niven - Ringworld

I'm not too sure about them makin the davinci code into a movie, i mean yeah its an obvious cash cow. Book makes money then movie = money. No brainer right?

But! I think that they should make the first book, Angels and Demons, into a movie. Its a shit lot hotter!
