"The Shape of Things"
I caught the trailer for this movie on another Focus Feature title, and it looked interesting. Rarely do I write reviews for movies that I only half enjoyed, but this one was too interesting to not share.
This may be a good movie for those of you that enjoy the artsy brand of indie movies.
Spoilers below, incase anyone cares..

It's a story of how art student/deep thinker Rachael Weisz (Runaway Jury) is doing a thesis project for her college. She meets a lowly museum security guard and they supposedly hit it off.
In the duration of their time together, her "boyfriend" and his emotions, his looks, and outlook on life start to evolve, all through the power of her suggestion. So much so that he alienates his friends and loved ones for the girl who has changed his life.
Finally, in the end, when he attends her presentation of her project, he comes to find out that he himself was her project all along! A project of changing someone on both the inside and outside, all through the power of suggestion.
Worst of all, everything that they shared was a lie.
The only real downside to the movie is that at times, the dialogue is a little winded, and flat, and the supporting characters acting were a little distant. But, this is definately a independant film, so they're not shooting for Oscar gold here.
So, if you enjoy Rachael Weisz's work, or are looking for an interesting movie that really puts love, relationships, and vanity in general to the test, "The Shape of Things" is recommended.
