Champion lives with his grandmother, madame Souza, but he is lonely and misses his parents.
Madame Souza finds out he likes bicycling so buys him a bike. He grows up into a cyclist, training to race in the France Tour. He is kidnapped during the race. Madame Souza and dog Bruno go in search of him. Meeting along the way the triplets from Belleville that give her a hand.

This movie is brilliant. The drawings are bizarre and exaggerated, to the point of perfection
With basically no dialog (one word or two) the story is told visually with absolutely no change of a person not getting it.
Its a must see, and IMO should have gotten the Oscar for best Animated movie.
