exactly..... the rules state she may not use a death touch/word.... but she could still grant herself invulnerability or infinite strength..... which are the reasons Drax and Destroyer were banned
she can't give herself powers. i think thats what the rules say. the rules eeverly limi her powers. this is fair. the rules won't let me get nwe powers cause thats the excact thing nimrod ould do.
Well... I'm sure there's a limit to Zatanna's magic or maybe if an individual has sufficient magical powers of their own, that effect would be negated.
well i don't see why she isn't allowed. evang said ok, and her powers are severly limited due to the rules. she should be allowed lol i mean she's a strong person but in this she can't use her more powerful spells
SF, I realize you haven't had the easiest time with your picks, so I feel kinda bad...but...
I couldn't help but notice in a recent thread with Zatanna in it you flat out said that she could win a fight by saying "YOU DIE" backwards. Now, if the rules that Evangel set down impose some restrictions on your use of Zatanna's powers, then that might be ok. But at the same time, Evangel, thorough as her list of banned powers was, couldn't have thought of absolutely everything. There's bound to be loopholes that you can exploit, because Zatanna can technically do anything she wants with her magic. There's easily the possibility of being able to exploit something to make her above herald.
I trust you that you would restrain Z's powers within the bounds of Evangel's rules...that isn't what I am questioning. But with so many self-imposed restrictions, combined with a lot of murky area where you won't know exactly what you can and can't do, Zatanna might end up being more of a hassle than it's worth. Just something to think about...
Champ isnt above herald WITHOUT his Gem.
The powerprimordial is powerful, but Champ cant use it like blasts, he only uses it to make himself a better fighter, thats all.
The discussion wasn't about Power Primordial blasts, though. It dealt with the fact that nothing short of molecular dispersion could affect Champion. Surfer might be the only herald-or-below that I can think of that has the power needed to harm him like that, and even he might not be able to produce enough of an effect. Otherwise, Champ's quite invulnerable.
Technically, we all have 3 picks. Champion and Zatanna are currently being debated, but otherwise we're at least close to being set.
And to be honest, with stormfront restricting herself so that Zatanna won't break the rules that Evangel initially made, I have little problem with Zatanna. It'll probably end up being more frustrating for SF than any of us...
I'm currently reading another thread where more than one person is saying Champion hands Gladiator his a$$ with little problem, so that sounds awfully close to above herald to me...I'll remain against him, but it really only matters what Evangel says.
I don't think he wants them...he is just using them to make a point about Champion not being any more invulnerable than someone like Juggernaut.
Personally, I wouldn't mind the challenge, but at the same time I'm trying to look at both sides of the discussion to try and be fair about character power levels.
If my Champ isnt ok'd then im lobbying against Jug.
Jug and Champs durability are the same.
Without champs Gem all his powers go down.
When he beat everyone on earth, he had his Gem, but shortly after that Silver Surfer came across him without the gem and kicked his ass with no problem what-so-ever.
Champ is the best fighter to ever exist.....just because he can fight doesnt make him above herald.
