Can't really think of much to stop him other than yelling for the gate to be closed and to continue chasing after, trying to cut off his path and forcing him to slow down. Doubt using my bow to shoot him (and hopefully knock him off without killing him) would be really possible at this speed.

And that just about wraps things up. Whilst you Elves and Dwarves were not able to identify your assailants, some of the rest of you will- Dunlendings. The throwing axes are a trait of the hillmen.
