Thanks
that are two different things though....olus not obeying an order of a Police Officer like "Get out of the Car" is not to be taken easy.....and I don't think that a teaser causes serious damage...I mena even the baby in the other case is alive and fine....
i think an officer should use good judgement. i firmly believe if that was a white woman, the officers would have just stood there scratching their heads, pleading with the woman to get out of the car, rather than act like a couple of jacked up screaming thugs. they were in no danger and they knew it.
not that its relevent what i would or wouldnt say, of coarse i would.
im just pointing out that there is an added element of racism. if that
was a white woman, it would have still gotten media response. and guess
what? still waiting for a single article on such an incident.

True it would have had a lot more media and all that but at least I would still don't see the problem...she refused a direct order from a Police Officer...you just don't do that...people got shot for doing that......
people get shot for putting a police officer in danger.
"put the gun down" *bang*
"let me see your hands" *bang*
...etc
granted, there are many situations where an officer does not know the danger and must act out of extreme caution. watch that video. tell me what kind of danger the officer was in. what, was she going to shoot him with her cel phone? he knew he wasnt in danger. when that knowlege is clear, basic human decency should tell him that its not justified to torture and terrify her.

Well i agree..I don't see the point in that but I don't know what you are getting at?...is it a racism issue or what is it you want to show us.....
Yes his Judgement seems pretty weak at that point, although it is different to be in teh Situation I guess....yes he shouldn't have tasered either of them...but they behaved wrong...I can see the point with the Pregnant woman that could be dangerous to the Baby but in the other case although poor judgement it is still justifyable (very extreme but.....)
to be clear, i think tasers are a blessing to police officers.
however, i believe it should be used with the same respect and
restraint as a gun. to shock someone as a precautionary measure
is cruel and unusual punishment imho. there are always cases
where an officer feels threatened and it turns out that he/she wasnt.
i understand that completely, mistakes happen, and cops are not psychic nor telepathic. however, in incidents such as this, i feel that a "by the book" mentallity is absolutely wrong and inhumane. an officer is not a machine with preset functions, they are human beings with the capacity for rational and humane thought. they should be required to use that as well.
