Keep in mind that computer hardware "generations" tend to last for about 6 months, if that. PCs are both the best and worst of tech progression, because you can always trade a module up for something better at nearly any time. The flip side being your brand new computer can be outdated in weeks if you don't pour money into upgrading it.
