In the absolutely worst case scenerio, e.g. J'onn goes head to head without using his other powers, I'd still give him 1-2 out of 10 wins, since his KO of Captain Marvel proves he's strong enough to do it. In boxing terms, I guess he has a "punchers chance", where it's pretty unlikely against a skilled boxer but not impossible if the hit lands just right...
J'onn is 2-3 times as powerful as Superman and 1.84 times as strong. He is also green like kryptonite. This has a physiological effect on Superman and makes Superman weaker. I have all the maths and facts to prove these things.
We are on a board talking about imaginary characters from different universes with different power scales all of which subject to varying treatment under different writers, then add in fanboy powers, ignorance powers and board politics well... It's just for fun, man.

MM best option is using his telepathy. Physically I don't think he can keep up with Clark over a prolonged fight. Clark is a better fighter, and slightly faster, stronger and more durable. More imortantly, he has greater stamina. If this turns into a physical fight, Clark wins a hefty majority. For J'onn to win he needs to attack Clark's mind right from the get go.
So, does anyone think MM is capable of using the pincushion technique on Adam that he used on Ultraman? As in, could he even pierce Adams skin?
Not asking if it's likely he'd do it, or if it would win him board fights, but say if Morrison was given the task of making a rematch between the two...
What can Supes do if MM just engulfs him? A White Martian nearly took him out with that technique, and MM's demonstrated similar tactics in Ostranders mini.
Theoretically, he can combine the technique he used on Ultraman where he turned himself into a porcupine and spiked every part of his body, with the engulfing strategy. He'd be like a living torture device.
i love how you inadvertantly named what you think is j'onn's best option as being something superman's resistance to has come along leaps and bounds in the last decade or so.
Also in Ostranders MM series, J'onn couldn't locate Superman telepathically when he was in his Clark Kent persona, and MM in the same series was powerful enough to scan the entire Earth for a single individual. MM claimed it was like Superman didn't want to be found.
This was early in Supermans career, after the two met only once. Supes wasn't actively trying to avoid mental detection. Hints of natural mental defenses in Kryptonians?
nah. kal is just crazy like that. ive never seen supergirl or pg have that kind of resistance. he's to a normal kryptonian what cap is to a human, after all.
Most Manhunter can do is stall Clark, really. They're in roughly the same bracket, but when push comes to shove, Superman is a level above.
I don't know how many times you guys have to see Wonder Woman, Billy, Manhunter and Green Lantern standing around going "This looks like a job for Superman!" when he's doing 'the impossible' for you to understand that.

WOW! It seems that superman has 3 kinds of speed and 2 effects.. 1st, he has fan based speed, and second he can bltz at ftl..( which stands for fans that lie ) His effect is to get people banned if they say he lose..wow!!!.. MM wins here, because superman cannot blitz at light speed and he cannot fly much faster than light. 12times light speed is a joke.
