I've herd a lot of different things about Lee having any real fights.One website said he was 6-0 but gave no real record or who he fought.Some say he entered tournements and realy fought Chuck Norris.Other people say this isn't true however.The closest i've ever seen Lee having a real fight was a sparring session in which he wore a ridiculous amount of padding and a helmet (so did the opponent).No ground work was implemented in the sparring session which leads me to belive Lee realy didn't think much of ground fighting at the time. Then again who could fight on the ground with all that armor?I've also herd Lee did sparring against Gene "Judo" Lebell,and that Lebell tapped out Lee several times in under a few minutes.It wasn't until then Lee even considered ground fighting as a vital part of combat.Lebell says he never fought Lee though which confuses Lee fans even more.I still hear people say Lee could dodge bullets when he himself admitted in volume 3 of his Jeet Kune Do book that if a gun is involved a fight,it is over.
I belive we should take Bruce Lee for what he was.A great entertainer who opened the western world to the Martial Arts.On the negative, it openend way for a lot of fakes to make an easy buck and manipulate the general public into beliving the Martial arts can render you invisible,make you dodge bullets,and take out ten men at once under any circumstance.This has led a lot of people to hold fantasy as cold hard fact and distort reality in true combat.

Mr.smiley while I agree that alot of bruce fanfiction comes into play... there is also lot of truth around aswell, writen by people who knew him. Given his reputation and what we see of his few pics and vids... its hard to believe that he was 1 big fake... I hightly doubt that he could convice soo many without having alot of skill....
Its a shame theres not much in the way of evidence about him...
