Rand and Tanic are on their way to the Living Area, which isn't far away, and Tanic has half-turned the corner of the doorway in when he sees the armed figure inside, and involuntarily calls out a "Whoa!" before spinning back out of the doorway again.

"On my mark," Rand says, approaching the doorway with his lightsaber held horizontally in a defensive position in front of him. "We're either going to be thanking this home redecorator, or we're going to kill this intruder..."
He uses Sense to see if he can sense more than one person in the next room.

You burst in through the doorway, an impressive collection of be-sabred warriors.
Music- Choral Opening of Duel of the Fates
Four of the nine people in there draw guns on you immediately, and suspiciously fast, but are waved down.
The four that drew guns wear slim leather clothing that leaves their arms and legs exposed; their pale skin is covered in unusual tatooos. They are all bald.
Those four are standing. Four others are sitting on the sofas. They are much more clothed, wearing black shawls and clothing that has an old-fashioned look to it, in drab, dark tones. They have long, flowing hair.
It's important to note that all of them are female.
As is the ninth, who is evidently their leader, standing between them all. She smiles and takes a step forwards as you enter.
Her hair, shoulder length, is purest white.
"Welcome home," she says
