It's always really gonna come down to preference in this thread, but actual best to me, in terms of ability:
Terry Bozzio, Danny Carey, Carl Palmer, Billy Cobham, Vinnie Colaiuta.

To add to the above list, I forgot Bill Bruford.
Terry Bozzio has amazing technique. He hardly moves his arms. It's all in the elbow down. Incredible, especially considering how hard he hits.

It's actually wrist down.
Most drummers drum elbow down, you coffee-sipping simpleton. No-one uses an entire straight arm you MUG.

Of course, Dino of Dredg fame used his whole arms like some nutter.
That's what I meant, wrist. Not elbow. Saturday Night Wrist. Although of course you'll try to claim I didn't mean that.

I believe you, I often have trouble with the difference between 'elbow', and 'wrist'.

Was a textual parapraxi.
I meant lower arm, in this case really low. Wrist.

Well if we're judging on drum ability, why does it matter how good he is at anything else?

There's only one drummer in Slipknot.
The others are percussionists, and there are only two.
