Jerec was powerful but we know he wasn't as strong as Vader or he woul've been the Sith Lord, hence I believe Maul would take Vader so he can take Jerec as well.

Jerec was literally stated to almost be equal to Vader. Maul isn’t close to that. Jerec factually wins.
