If the OT Stormies are really the Clones from the Prequels, it makes ROTJ (awful film IMO) even more pathetic.
They would have killed those Ewoks without even trying.
But I hate ROTJ anyway, by far the most predictable, boring and goody-kissy-everythingisfinenowy film. But that's not the point here.
Maybe the most satisfying answer would be, that there are both: recruited troops to stabilise the Empire: If the executive forces comes from within the community, a rebellion is less likely.
And there are still the Clones, too.

Again: there is no reason to believe they are not clones. And yes, so they forgot how to gwet their aim right. Maybe Gl was trying to make a plea against cloning, showing that they degenerate...

i dont think they are clones, they are different heights and they discuss a vp type hovercar on board the death star. clones wouldnt do that.

PVS, sit down, have a drink. You're right of course, but they're still in denial. "It can't be this easy, it's SW!"....
People, GL is making this saga up as he goes. I am quite sure he never thought of the stormtroopers to be clones when he made ANH. And now... they are.
Much the same this I don't believe GL thought of Anakin to be a child when he started his Jedi training, but more persuaded by OB1 to learn about the force. ("follow old OB1 on some damn fool idealistic crusade).

Not all the stormtroopers are clones.
The clones that were left became stormtroopers, and more people joined the ranks, most likely through an academy like luke wanted to go to.
