Question Truth of Darth Sidious's failure?

Did Darth Sidious while battleing Mace Windu loose on purpose, so Anakin could actually do the deed that will complete his journey to the dark side? Because he called to Anakin in the Force...he knew Mace was coming and he knew Mace wasn't coming alone. If he was going to lose, why stay? Why risk the exstinction of the Sith so early? He wasted three Jedi Master under a few seconds, and battled pretty good with Mace Windu. I think him loosing was his on set up to give Anakin Skywalker an oppurtunity to go dark and give full loyalty to Sidious. The Emperor did have a strong ability in forseeing things in the Force. I think he saw the entire duel before it happened.

i agree, its revealled a little when he gets ani to start arguing with mace and when he begs to ani for help.
one question, why didnt the jedi take off thier robes before the duel, in every other fight, exept yoda's they take off thier robe then go at it.

I think that Sidious underestimated Mace Windu during their battle. I mean he took out Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tiin so quickly. One could get cocky you know.

i dont think so, you bring up a good point, but i dont think sidious would risk that much on anakin. he couldnt have been 100% sure anakin would help him. mace beat him fair and square, i just dont believe sidious set it up like that

It's a good theory but I don't think so, the Sith hated the Jedi and I think Sidious would've loved to destroy Mace. Look at how Sidious tried to run from Yoda, he remembered what happened against Mace! I mean, he could've not killed Mace with lightning since Mace had just lost a hand and his lightsaber, he could've let Anakin kill him but I think he just wasn't taking any chances.

I think this will always be an interesting debate. To me it seemed pretty obvious that he was faking his weakness to get Ani to go over the edge.

That is my opinion.
