What is a Whill?
You know in the comic adaptation of Episode III, Qui-gon mentions something about a Shaman of the Whills. And George Lucas said one time that a thousand years after ROTJ, R2-D2 tells the story of Episode I-VI to the Keeper of the Whills. What is a Whill?

“Originally, I was trying to have the story be told by somebody else (an immortal being known as a Whill); there was somebody watching this whole story and recording it, somebody probably wiser than the mortal players in the actual events. I eventually dropped this idea, and the concepts behind the Whills turned into the Force. But the Whills became part of this massive amount of notes, quotes, background information that I used for the scripts; the stories were actually taken from the Journal of the Whills.”
George Lucas
..this might not be a credible source, but at least it's better than genital humour.

Well yah, I know, but I really want to know what exactlly a Whill is. What is there purpose? What do they do? What are they? Is a Shaman of the Whills a Whill, or just a shaman?

I had a theory one time, I theorized that they where god-like beings who created the Force and midi-chlorians. But I don't want to go into full explenation of that, I want to here your opinions.

I don't think so, Qui-gon was contacted by a Shaman of the Whills during the Prequel Era.

A Whill is supposedly the name of Yoda's race. Probably a Fan thing, because GL says he will never let anyone know Yoda's race.
