The Spartan slowly crept inside the ship. Carefull to make sure neither Jackal or flood saw her. The flood was working hard to take down the jackal. They were disgusting creatures, but the covenant were nearly just as bad.

The Spartan reached for a fragmentation grenade at her side and pulled the pin. She lobbed the high explosive dvice into the center of the flood and in front of the two covenant.

The blast carried them up high and she was able to grasp the still leaving ship with her other hand, but her grip was unsteady and she had been wounded by shrapnel in her left leg and right shoulder. Her shoulder screamed in pain as she grasped the side of the ship.
