I got this the other day, and then completed it later that same day. £17 for 5 chapters was a bit steep, but I think worth it. Each expansion pack is like a story:
HL2 - The fight to destroy the Combine
Ep1 - The escape from City 17
I expect they'll carry on like this, seperate, linked stories for each expansion pack. There's meant to be 4, 3 by valve and 1 by another company. I think the next one will be taking the fight to the Combine, or saving Mossman. Then have the 3rd one in Xen maybe, trying to close the portal, with the final part cleaning up against the combine and maybe taking down the G-man and his "employers".

They'res only 3 of them in slated for release. So it only goes to episode 3.
Gabe Newell hasnt announced more episodes. It's likely, but hasnt been announced.

Nope, sorry dude.
An message board from gamefaqs.com, isnt really an good reliable source. It's probably some dude who read some other dude blog or something about the possibility of an 4th.

So, they're isnt an 4th episode coming out. They're probalby will considering the sales that episode 1 is having, which will probably mean the end of the HL3. But, as of right now, the head of Valve has stated that they're isnt an 4th in development.

Couldn't find the Half life 2 thread, so I'm just gonna put this here and go away.

Half life 2 mods/Half life 2 based mods/games.
Perfect Dark Source, one of the best looking 'mods' I've ever seen, it seems to be a large project, they've been working on this one for quite a while, maybe a year or so. I dunno if it has singleplayer or if it's mainly and just multiplayer, but they've remade the music (which can be downloaded from the 'medias' section') and what PC game has music in a multiplayer game? Trailers and screenshots are avalable to download.

Goldeneye Source, the team working on this one are going to release a alpha version on Christmas eve, 00:00. Media material are avalable in the forum, just like the Perfect dark source team, they've/they're remaking the music from the original and so far they've released a beta soundtrack (listened to it, it rocks!), so same thing here, it might hint to a singleplayer mode/campaign.

For Half Life 2, check Metastatis (or something or other). SP mod, with a intersting story behind it.
The thing is, considering how long Half Life 2 has been out, there hasnt been any good mods out there. I guess alot of ideas have been done already, or I dont know, but nothing really stands out.
