If anyone is of Greek origin, Thanos is a nickname for those named Athanasius.
I dont know about that, but I do know there is a Greek god called Thanos who is the son of Nyx.

That's "Thanatos", not "Thanos".

I got a question that I think everyone seems to miss... How the hell can an eternal die by getting their heart ripped out? I thought they had mental mastery of every atom of their body and nothing less than a major portion of their atoms scatted could kill them. Or is this a trait that titan eternals don't have even though they are capable of merging with the uni-mind meaning have their bodies dissassociated. And even if Thanos were to get hurt he could heal himself instantly right? As stated by Odin in WarlockIW# 25 Thanos taps a near limitless power source... He can amp his strength, blasts ect... Thanos is one bad dude even more so if everyone can connect the dots about him being an eternal.

Maybe something about Drax negates his powers?
I don't know really, but it was brought up in the Annihilation thread when it happened.
It must have something to do with Drax's powers, because the same question could arise about Drax actually breaking through his skin.

It was described in the earlier Annihilation books that Drax was Thanos's silver bullet..Drax said he was the only person that could kill thanos. Maybe that was the reason why drax was able to pierce Thanos's skin.

Did anyone post the scan from She-Hulk #13-14 where Thanos supposedly said he could create weaker clones of himself that could fool even the sense's of a Watcher?

I don't know, but using She-hulk to prove something about comics is hazy.

Well, seeing as it was the same author who had Squirrel Girl beating a supposed non-clone Thanos...

thanos created clones that he stated would even believe they were the real thanos. th watcher probably was fooled also.
