I don't know how old you are and whether you had physics and biology at school or not, but rest assured that a human body would certainly NOT explode at zero airpressure! That's what happens in stupid sci-fi films perhaps.
The pressure "inside" the body is just equal to one atmosphere and would definitly cause bloodvessels, lung-alveoles and eyes to pop and rip apart. That, of course, would result in the humans death...AFTER several seconds of horrible pain and suffering!!! It's comparable to a scenario with a deep sea diver coming up too fast.
The remains would not be smithereens but an awfully distorted, swollen and partially riped body!
The human tissue is simply to durable to instantly explode because of a low pressuredifference like one atmosphere.
yes

yes, I did. everytime a negative comment about cyclops comes around you always talk about it.

Nonetheless, it'd still kill the person. So maybe he wouldn't explode, he'd die, and there isn't much he could do about it.

But if we were talking about someone with powers... it wouldnt be too hard for them to use those few seconds to strike would it?

Ofcause it would kill the person, i never questioned that!
I just said, that it would be a rather uneffective stunt in a fight, since the dying process would take so long. The Weatherwitch has much more effective abilities at hand to incapacitate an opponent than a zero pressure area!

if your bheing torn apart, it's kinda hard to concentrate enough to attack. hell, storm was sucking he air out of jeans lungs once, and she couoldn't even concentrate enough to use her powers then.

sorry pao, i don't have the comic anymore, but jean went after storm to fight her(i think), and storm put jean in a skin tight vaccum which sucked the air out of jeans lungs. jean was holding her throat and ro was smiling saying something similar to

"how can you expect to beat me when you can't even take care of yourself"

it was quite the scene. i enjoyed it
