The problem is 8 out of 10 people I've met that say they are into hip hop, are usually into mainstream hip hop. Now if the majority of people who like hip hop, like the crap kind, then you can't expect someone who isn't to think it's a good genre when it's a 99% chance that they haven't experienced underground or old school hip hop and have only been experienced to the bling bling wannabe gangster crap.
Now it's still ignorant to come into this thread and say all hip hop is crap, but I do understand where it comes from when the majority have most likely just experienced mainstream.
That's why you don't see people coming into a rock thread saying all rock sucks, because they're are good to great rock bands in the mainstream, while I can barely name five good mainstream hip hop artists.

If he's a gangster then why would he hang round on KMC altogether, it just doesnt go with the territory. BTW what defines a Gangster? I've never really grasped this concept
