Also, on the local news stations, when you look for school closings, you will see elementary, middle, high, college, and university schools listed.

No one I know asks, "How was university, today?" That's a bit weird sounding. We just ask, "How was school?"

It's just what Kubo chose to use for her outfit...and it is not similar to most current Japanese highschool girl outfits. I am more inclined to think it is a costume of sorts than a school uniform.

I have a question concerning this chapter....how does Tousen know what colors are? Because he just gave something a distinct color name.

When creating such a beast, they could have determined what color it should be. He spoke of the beast as though it were designed (which it was). So, naturally, if someone commented on a "purple flower", he'd correct them if they called it a green flower. "No, bro, we created a purple flower."
