here's Hercules holding the Earth for Atlas. And despite what people say, THIS IS CANON! Ill explain it with what i like to call the Exiles Hyperion scenario. See, if it was false, they wouldnt have shown a flashback, just like they didnt show the flashback of Hyperion killing Galactus, because it was false. And u know it's true because they DO show a flashback, just like when Hyperion was talking to Blink when he came back in Timebreaker, they showed flashbacks, because they werent lies. So when Herc said this, it's the truth. Therefore this is canon.
Thor just has more versatility, is all. Even without a hand weapon.
Thor and Hercules clashes are fun fights - rarely mean spirited or malicious; like distant cousins looking for bragging rights. Doesn't take long for Herc to become cheerful and even-tempered again.

Thor only got trapped in the chokehold because he turned his back to Hercules, who acted like the fight was over and said Thor had his respect. Sneaky Greek.
Uh...in the last picture, what's Hercules holding onto under Thor, as they fly away? Looks like he's grasping in the 'nether regions' - holding fast onto something!

I agree 100% with how the fight was written. Oeming did a great job.

Good eye you have.
