Then there is the other kind the shape-shifter humans who have the ability to change into an animal most popular is the wolf, a very popular folklore legend.. tribes have formed and led into various packs, clans of them all over the world. There almost as popular if not more so than the vampire.
Not all shape-shifters are wolves, some are other creatures such as foxes, cats, some are even parasites, not able to reside for long in the body there in and have to take the body of another in order to sustain their pityful life.
But as with everything in this world there are rules most important rule for a vampire is expose youself at your own peril..a human must never discover who you are. In vancouver where our story takes place just like the things you have read about vampires and the shape-shifters regardless are whether there are wolves or what not, Hate each other or highly dislike to put it mildly. Yet they co-exist in a world where both have to hide who they are. The only difference is the shape-shifters can easy form relationships with humans, where as the vampires can't for obvious reasons regardless of whether their vegetarian or do drink human blood.

blood sucking: Almost every vampire does this... not always though

Immaterial: Some vampires can go through walls, others must take the door way.
no need of air (as they don't breath).
Healing: Some vampires heal very quickly from wounds, some die rather quickly.
Immortality: yes as lon gas they drink blood either human or animal.
Intelligent - all vampires are smart whether in a nerdy way or charismatic.
Most vampires have a special power some print of their human life. Some can read minds, some can see visions, some have the power to escape conflict. you choose
some vampires gain memories trough absorbing: rarely, vampires can get people's memories through sucking their blood.
- reforming: Very powerfull vampires have the ability to reform, meaning that after extreme damage, they can renew and pull together their bodies. Very rarely, they can even do this after they've been decapitated.
- almost every vamp has no shadow, nor mirror reflection. This can be very frustrating when preparing for dates, or simply getting dressed in the evening.
They can't go out in daylight, the only exception is if it's during a Rainy day with greying clouds or a thunderstorm then they can. But as soon as the sun comes once more they would burn if they don't take cover. Regardless they can still get by through the day either by sewer tunnels also dispite folklore vampires don't sleep at all. They can't be staked either because of ther hard skin prevents that. They can be killed only when dismebered and burn the pieces.
Shape-shifters
Are humans who can morph in to an animal and not goverened by the full moon. Therefore they can change freely and with control, unless emotion get the better of them and change when they don't wish to.
Like a vampire their senses are enhanced greatly. and they are very fast as well and can almost out run a vampire when in their animal form pending on what sort they change into to. wolves and cats are well known for being the fastest when in animal form they also have telepathic abilities can plan attacks or give signals to each other. They can can also Imprint which is an involutary response when a shape-shifter finds their soul-mate and any attachement to someone beforehand reliquishes after this happens transfering the affection to the one he/she has imprinted on. Shape-shifters have very slow ageing and can be live forever like a vampire providing they shift frequently.
There is no set plot yet but that will happen along the course of the rp. When the vampires and shape-shifters collide with each other. Villains can be made and also true love can be found but whether you can hold onto it is how you will play it. You are responsible for your own characters and how they progress. I will control the direction of where I think I want the story to head to in terms of setting, relationships, or whatever.

The Twist
Reality has been changed a plan set in motion by wolfram & Hart and if you break it down it's the wolf, the ram, and heart. Who is wolfram @ Hart they are an ancient power from the old time. A force to be reckoned with they are the deal breakers, The one's who hold all the cards to mulipulate the beings they enjoy toying with and now the apocalyse is here and is happening . One such vampire named Angel from the alternative earth in this story, A champion to the innocent, A vampire with a soul and the what was left of his team Illyria an ancient god, Spike a fellow vampire with a soul, and Gunn a human warrior were last seen in a alleyway in los angeles. All the walls that held the dimensions together had once more been removed, or bled a better term. That is just on ehalf of what was seen because on the other alternative earth the same was happening there. wolfram & Hart had mulipulated the situation placed a council known as the volturi who carred their bidding, without knowing of course. the vampires in this verse are different to the ones seen. these can't be staked, can go out in daylight I think you get the picture. these are just two alternative earths as examples..all the worlds are bleeding into one and the humans of both of the earth worlds are in for a shock. The sun has been blotted, only darkness reigns. there are dark forces reaking havok. Humans are on the menu and mankind will diminish. There is only one option left. Angel, his team and the cullens and blacks must all work together to put a stop to the evil and restore the barriers that have kept the peace back together. Help is on hand for the heroes. Buffy and the slayers are there somewhere with willow who they need to work the spell.
Will they succeed...It's 50/50 the choice is yours.

@Madmel yea sure you can stick to their original origin if you want to. and it's not just vampires and shapeshifters,slayers, witches and werewolves you can choose, there is also demons., Because if the dimensions are being bled into one then there are numerous races, you can make your own up if you want...buffy verse did that alot there were all kinds of demons good and bad.
Hey TxG is this only supernatural races? Because I've been having this idea of some kind of witchhunter. He'd be somewhere between a crusader and a inquisitor. You know, fighting with sword and holy water. (And a bit of "upgrading" the DNA)
Might actually make a RP revolving around witchhunters. Anybody interested?

Also the action is going to kick of straight away, there will be blood, chaos and anarchy. your characters will just be in the midst of it all. you may not all be together at first pending on what you choose. I will be with you either way..I create characters to assist you, or ha fight you.
In fact one of my created characters that I'm gunna make that you will see will be killed off maybe in the first couple of posts.
