Comic book value in the year 2005

Hello, I am new to the boards here. I have been a fan of comics for a while, but I have never payed attention to comic book value because my comics are pretty much worthless anyway lol. Now don't flame me for this because I don't want to collect comics simply based on possible value in the future, but I wanted to know if there are any comic books these days that I could buy that would probably go up in value. Is there anyway to determine that? Obviously comics will never be as valuable as the ones from the 60's, but is there anything I should look for, like a particular series or 1st issues etc. that in 20-30 years time might be worth some money? Thanks.

well...

astonishing x-men #1 is now priced at $40 for mint/near mint condition

and i think some issues of wolverine's enemy of the state arc is valued at $20
