How strong is Midnighter?

So, I've been rereading a lot of the Authority, and for anyone who's done the same, it becomes rather obvious he has some level of super strength (rupturing Apollo's ear drums, punching THROUGH low and mid level bricks etc.), I was just wondering where other people would put him.

Just above a ton is the opinion of most people on CBRF.

I don't buy it, you've gotta be higher than that to pull off some of the stunts he has. I'd put him around 3 tons myself.

I agree with you, actually.

Probably the same as Slade. 3-5 tons.

What kind of mechanical electronic device does he have in his head? It's a chip or something, right?

Actually, I don't know where it is. It's a whole system, and I think the scanning parts of it are actually in his chest. But, yeah, at least one part of it is in his brain because it feeds him info on his opponent visually.

It's tough sometimes to pin down people who are strong but don't make a big deal about it.

doesn't he have an enhanced skeletal structure?.... i could see a class 1 guy punching through bricks if his bones were tough enough, he had the right training and has a healing factor.... so he doesn't have to worry about injuring himself... he's obviously a little faster than the average human too... so he could get more force into a punch...... i wouldn't put him above the 1 - 1.5 ton class

actually he is about spidey level, if not just slightly below. so i would say 7-10 cuz yeah ive seen him punch trhu walls but iv also seen him punch a guy 20 feet into the air and about 40 yards out. and that was just a standing punch he didnt muscle up, or tense up or anything he just threw a pucnh and boom! dude went flying so i say you gotta be stronger than one ton to do somethiong like that

I doubt it, I think it's just more of how the writer kinda does stupid shit in the comic.

It seems like whenever someone gets punched in Authority, they blow up.
Just over the top dramatic stuff.

I think as a giver and a taker where a majestic class "partner" is concerned he is stronger than we think, otherwise he would have to split. smile

Yeah, I've seen arguments for him being Spidey level, but I give that more to Hawksmoor. I think a skilled class 5 guy could pull off what he has. And yeah, Scoob, his bones and tendons are reinforced.

His healing factor is more an immune system completely safe from disease. It's never been shown to actually speed his physical healing. But he fought off AIDS in something like 2 days, so his blood is top-notch.

I put him at 3 Tons for the tourney so that there isn't fighting about this. And yeah, he's shown stuff that looks like it should be more than 3 tons, but he's hella-skilled so it could just be a ton or two with awesome fighting technique.
