Superman in fact often faces magic, as basically, he has to be challenged, somehow.

Superman's spirit enters a magical entity to save plastic man and destroys the Magical creature, this magical entity was even giving a fight to the Spectre.

To give you an idea of how this works, is really simple. Imagine a boxer A fighting boxer B. Boxer A feels and gets hurt by the punches of boxer B, but it does not mean that boxer A cannot punch boxer B

Captain Marvel SUCKER punches Superman with a Zeus amped punch

And THEN look at CM, he seems to be grabbing his hand in pain and he even claims he got lucky. How many characters you know that cannot be KO'ed by a single CM amped sucker punch?

I noticed some people claiming Superman does not has combat reflexes around the web. Well Superman did in fact operated for over 7 YEARS at super speed with out being seeing. I don't think not even the Flash has that record.

He even says sometimes He gets sloppy for showing off instead of operating at high speeds the way he used to do it all those years operating in secret.
