Sean Connery forever, but Daniel Craig seems to be a good choice

I will be very interested to see how Vladimir Putin, under his stage name of Daniel Craig, adapts to the historically anti-Russian character of perfidious English spy James Bond. Of course, the character has mellowed to the point of having the occasional Russian ally, as in Goldeneye. And Putin's intelligence background may give him unusual insight into current spy games. Still, it makes one yearn for the old days when the US/UK were the good guys, at least on screen, and the godless Russians weren't. And don't try telling me Craig isn't a thinly disguised Putin, just watch Layer Cake or Munich.

I love Sean Connery too out of the ones who have played already but Criag could replace that smile Have been impressed with him so far.

Hmm

A muscly bond...i don't think so, Bond is meant to be one of the boys with a swarve and sophisticated edge.

quintissentially English

Not some U.S friendly beefcake... great, they've ruined everything

"would you like a drink Mr Bond"

"Evian mineral water, shaken not stirred"

After seeing the trailer, I think he is swave and stylish look to him -- what I love about Craig is that he not very well known and has been working hard to be impress everyone. I think you should give him a try...

And why the hell are so many people pissed because Judi Dench is M? That's something that I don't really understand. Great actress.

No.

George Lazenby was only in one film, 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' - 1969

Timothy Dalton was in two films, 'The Living Daylights' -1987 and 'Licence to Kill' - 1989

Pierce Brosnan was in four films.

Daniel Craig signed a three-film contract, so we get him for at least two more films.

Despite the lack of box office success, Dalton was an excellent Bond. Athough only if you are a fan of Flemings books.

Connery was brilliant.

Craig, we'll see. I don't like what i'm hearing about his second film.

Roger Moore made a coule of good films, Live and let die and MWTGG. The others were shit.

Lazenby was the Fry's turkish delight man, enough said! sad

Thing is Bond is very dated as a cocept now and things like the Bourne movies have raised the bar for the spy/action genre in the way Dr. No did in the early sixties.

I agree that Dalton was the way Ian Flemming envisioned Bond. Its unfortuante that people say he was the worst. In fact, i would argue he was very good and starred in 2 very underated Bond films!

I don't think the Bond films are outdated at all. The character can be placed into any decade and, if done right, can be a HUGE success as we saw with Casino Royale.

The Bourne movies, to me, are nothing more than a rip-off of the James Bond concept. Its a variation on the James Bond-theme even the intials are purloined Jason Bourne/James Bond. Needless to say i'm not a fan of the Bourne movies. I think they're very cartoonish and silly/OVERATED!!

I can't wait for Craig's next outing as 007.

After seeing Layer Cake Craig can opull it off easy! He just needs to stick with the franchise for a while before people really like him
