101 - ENDTRODUCING - DJ Shadow

An amazing piece of emotive music that I think can be appreciated by anyone regardless of what their favourite style of music is.

102. MIKE OLDFIELD - Amarok

An album that no one has to like, but just appreciate the work done by this man
who also wrote the opening theme to THE EXCORSIST, before the movie was made.

This album is probabley for someone who is openminnded, or a musician's musician.

103. Cake-Fashion Nugget (The Distance)

My all time favorite album. To be able to incorporate such different genres such as funk, pop, jazz, rock, country, rap in their music and not sound even a tiny bit forced is amazing.

104. Eels - Electro-Shock Blues

Kind of hard to pick one Eels album, and I'll probably post another at some point in this thread. An album about dying, death and loss, it is desperately sad, but he plays it all through subtle, pseudo-cheery music. An understated masterpiece.

105. Sunrise Over Sea - John Butler Trio

A jam-band splashed with the salt of the sea. They're like Dave Matthews Band without all the show-off trumpets and (recent) dullness. I like them best when they go all acoustic on my ass. 'Peaches And Cream' is my favorite tune at the moment. It's sweet, soulful and ultimately optimistic.

Extremely fun album.. basically just four long instrumental electro funk/jazz tracks, each one catchy as hell and strangely familiar.

Since we're on that Jazz vibe...

111. Dave Brubeck Quartet- The Great Concerts (Take Five)

After seeing him in concert still kicking it in his eighties, I've become a fan. This concert was recorded back in the Quartet's prime in the late 50's. It's simply a great jazz album with some very irregular time signatures.

THE MOVE - Shazam

This album from 1970 will screw-up your head so much, you'll have to book into "Cherry Blossom Clinic". Then be kept in a bed.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

Essential funk from the early 70's. Great guitar work; addictive riffs and psychedelic leads as well as powerful funk vocals and even good lyrics.
