Yeah, it was cool seeing him raise Sub Diego, but i wasn't satisfied with how Aquaman's transformation was handled.
It all just happened so... easily. It felt to me like DC realized they were at the end of 52 and still had a whole heap of stuff to resolve so they just crammed it all in as best they could. And didn't think all that much about whether it actually works or not.
Aquaman was turned into the Dwellar just 2 weeks before the OYL relaunches. How did the Dwellar have time to establish himself and the rumors of his presence that spread throughout the oceans? And what was Aquaman doing for the 50 weeks prior to that? The oceanscape has been in chaos since Atlantis was destroyed, i find it hard to believe he would've just hung out in Sub Diego while Tritonis was being destroyed and all the other **** that would've been going down. And what about that guy the showed in one of the earlier 52 issues who they said was Arthur Curry? (and he was already showing signs of amnesia and whatnot)
I guess i'm just not really satisfied with how it all fits together.
Yeah but there was no real need for that story to be told yet, it didn't tie into anything 52 related. They just put it in there for content. Sure, a fair amount of people wanted to know, but the whole thing came off so blas'
Busiek was originally going to explain the whole thing of how Aquaman transformed in the Aquaman book. That (or an Annual like Nightwing got) would've been better since the story would've gotten the attention it deserved.
Not digging the art in the Aquaman title itself at the moment. I got into it a little last issue, but couldn't at all in #51. Writing's decent though.
Looking forward to Justice next week. Only 2 issues left and Braniac has Arthur Jr. Should be good.
aqua man is super cool. i had aquaman underoos as a child.

Can't wait until i've completed my Aquaman appearances collection. Then i'll move onto getting the awesomely geeky stuff like underoos. It'll be great.
Well, figured i'd add something new to this thread. It's not so much feats or anything like that, it's just some team ups between Aquaman and co i've been showing on Scans Daily, and i figured i'd add the here for the hell of it. So yeah, here ya go...
Pity Justice is over. Most well written Aquaman in years. If i could pick any creative team for an All Star Aquaman book, it'd be the team behind Justice. Waaay back in the first issue, they summed up the character perfectly during the conversation between him and Mera. And in the scans above they showed they have a great handle on Black Manta aswell.
Damn. Where am i gonna get my (real) Aquaman fix now?!?
