I opened the above game playing my queen as early as possible, which nearly every good authority will tell you should NOT be done.
Appropriately enough, I afterwards spend what seems like half my moves having her chased around the board ...

My opponent recognizes the threat posed by knights on such a crowded battlefield. His attack allows me to open up the e-column/aka the King's file for my rook to hopefully pin and win, but I decide my King's pawn will do a better job. I allow myself to go back to having my queen chased again, but now I force some trades to make sure his king gets properly harassed as well ...
