The flight of the population of Lanzar continues.
Slipping out of the city to the East, they meet no opposition to their fleeing. Now they all seek the (relative) safety of the jungle.
A problem, though. For to the east of the city is a crucial terrain feature- the river. And across the river, only one bridge. Wide and sturdy as it is, it's not designed to cope with the whole population of the city at once. It is cholked within seconds.
And then another noise in the air- a continuous whine or drone from the distance.

And indeed as many have guessed, the entirity of the fleet TIE force has turned up, the sky almost going black under their numbers.
The bombers bomb the bridgre first, the thermal detonators and other warheads blowing apart the mighty structure even as thousands or more are on it. The water, full of deadly predators, is of little sanctuary to those who jump off, but even if it was, this was not the end of the matter. The bombers are ordered to exepnd all of their warheads, bombing the river and the ground either side of the bridge over and over and over.
The fighters are strafing. They are told to strafe everything that moves and everything that does not. The Osokans have no chance of outrunning the fighters, and if they miss they come around for another pass and do it again. They have all the time in the world.
If the Osokans stay up, the fighters hit them again. If they go down, the fighters go and strafe the bodies anyway, just to make sure.
Vader's tactic was based on the idea that a panicking enemy fleeing in all direxctions can slip throuugh your lines and be lost. But leave your enemies an escape route that you know they will take, with a point where you know you can slaughter them all- then victory will be truly total.

Commisar looks at the screens as Galahad ends the transmission, enjoying the carnage, as well as the reaction of his enemies.
What about the smaller settlements on the planet, can we eradicate them as well?

Janthis looks and sees the large explosions. The blasts are immense and echo long after the bombing has stopped.
Janthis looks at the ground he doesn't like this. Fighting face to face in a war is one thing. Going forth and trading blows leaving marks that is battle. This is a massacre of people just trying to save themselves after it is over.
"I need a drink" Janthis says under his breath.

Actually, If I ordered interception on Galahad`s ships, and they are all really Rebels....wouldn`t there have to be some prrof on the ships. Like comms at last? Though I don`t think that we have enough fighters to do it anyway....... What Nidar thinks of the situation, I wonder?
Commisar will contact indpendents, asking if they have anything against Galahad that was missed before.

Okay, next time he will not get away....let him suffer for now. Anything left to do? I assume that Guild Hall is completely destroyed and we would be able to wipe out the smaller settlements as well? Does Nidar have any ideas or comments?

One lone Osokan makes it to the far bank, one of the Lodge Captains. Desperate, injured and lone, he makes his way into the eerily quiet jungle, away from the bombardment.
The quietness is strange. And indeed, instead of the normal jungle noises, here there is just one sound, a metallic breathing.
A red lightsabre ignites.

You guys spend the next few hours mostly doing supervision work. The exciting parts of the fight are all over; just boring grunt work from now on.
The starport was taken intact- seems it was meant to be destroyed but they fluffed it- so that is now becoming the main Imperial landing site; no more hassle from the Jungle.

I am mostly interested if anything can be found in the remains of the Pit or Guild, especially the bodies of Drakkon or Vasilisk.
And I want to discuss the matter of eradicating any smaller settlements on the planet with other officers.
