psi bolt isnt really the same as full on to manipulation.. a lvl 3 or 4 can psi bolt the snot out of some one doesnt mean they are skilled enough to enter or control the mind
What are some of Grodd's TP defense feats against another telepath?
Emma has casually shrugged off Karma trying her hardest to mind control her.
She's pwned several of the most powerful Skrull telepaths attacking her at the same time on the astral plane.
She's shrugged off Rachel's best attacks against her in the astral plane.
She's stalemated Exodus.
She's blocked Sinister in Antarctica from North America without Cerebro.
She's entered into Xavier's mind without detection and subtlely placed enough blocks and inhibitions for her to be comfortable enough to tell him off and later on pimp-slap him in his own mind.
She's shrugged off Empath's attempts to control her emotions and shut down his powers.
She's also has the feat of devolving Beast into a beast.
Now I'm not familiar with all of Grodd's TP feats, but how many telepaths has he fought against and how good are his defenses against someone as skilled as Frost? Because if his defenses aren't around Exodus/Xavier level, then I don't see how he's going to stop Frost from devolving him into the mentality of a regular gorilla.

idk about dick, but flash has always had some luck recognizing his illusions because his mind is superfast and grodd cant illusion him that fast so theres either gaps or they are taking place slower than flashes normal thoughts. idk if thats always true, but thats how it worked in his first appearance and in at least one other situation.
