It's indeed very stupid that Quasar could break the planetary shield considering how easily it withstood the combined powers of multiple herald-to-trans-level heroes. Then again, the entire premise was very stupid as well: SHIELD/Hydra shouldn't be able to create and maintain such a cosmicly powerful force field around the entire Earth in the first place. The fact that it was apparently thousands of times more powerful than the shields generated by the likes of Invisible Woman or Magneto also diminishes these superbeings. Apparently by some casual technological means it's now possible to generate energy shields far more powerful than those of the force-field-generating herald-level superbeings.
That said, I can't see how this is a feminism / female favoritism issue. Many female superheroes failed at breaking the shield as well, including Monica, Carol and Janethor.

You guys realise quasar is the protector of the universe right? Everyone was planetary level. Plus she was well rested 😉

At least from these scans we don't know what powered this shield. And it's not the first time shit like this happened, remember when human tech came up with a device that nullifies ALL superpowers (Marvel) or those Herals Level power pills (DC)?

I can see why. I've read the issue a few times now, and I can honestly say that it is fantastic. The artwork is an acquired taste, imo, but it does grow on you.
Anywho, I am very eager to see how the story fleshes out from here... Great shit.

Glad they brought back genius Lobo. Ray can shrink below atomic level and enter the Microverse.
