Thor�s power level is obviously being ignored for the sake of the story, upgrade or not. That�s what happens when you include him (or any more powerful character) on a team. Unless that sword is some kind of high level artifact, or some shit.

Also, why would he have a brain, and a skull that you could operate on? SMH. I think this is evidence, that if a writer is lazy and shitty enough, they'll do anything to push their mediocre plot along.
