This is where Bobby get as close to absolute zero as he can by freezing a bomb. He has about 20 seconds to do so.
Note: He protects Cable so that he doesnt feel the cold.
2nd Note: Cable starts to feel it a bit anyways and tells Iceman to stop. Iceman couldve went colder.
3rd Note: -200. Temperature in some areas of space.
Can't wait to see what Iceman does against the Marauders in X-Men #200 and beyond. This is definitely his year, since Mike Carey has him doing important things all the way through the end of September this year.
Cool display of power, but that is "THE" ugliest art I've even encountered... No wonder why I stopped picking up that book during that time... You just reminded me why.
P.S. - Anyone have any additional Legion Quest scans of Iceman rediscovering his powers when they time jump into the past?.. like when he snowed up, and played around with his powers briefly while working for the shipping yards.
SinceI'm not priviledged enough to post pictures here yet, could someone please post the recent picture of Iceman in Ultimate X-Men #83, when he's down in the Morlock tunnels.
Iceman has also been shown using his abilities to put someone in cryo stasis. This was some years ago in the 90's, when the Brood infected a young woman. I can't remember which book it was, but Jean and Bishop were present at the time. In addition to Iceman's assistance, Jean had also put the woman in a coma or something, to slow the brooding process down.
Bobby has progressed a lot in terms of temperature control. He is now able to control chemical reactions that involve heat change. Via this he is able to block Sunfires powers.
Thats pretty freaking awesome. Im guessing thats why cannonball couldnt use his powers either since its basically the same thing. That could also mean he could block people like Human Torch. Thats, again, pretty freaking awesome!
I thought this feat was awesome that he can control chemical reactions involving massive heat exchange. What gets me is that why can't Cannonball use his power. Bobby has used a similar technique aganist Legion that required him to specifically channel his powers on the microlevel without affecting the entire area.
I just thought since Sunfire didn't have any powers Canonball wasn't going to use his either because you know an honorable battle means a lot to both men. Canonball also mentions that he is shutting him down at the source which makes me believe he is totally isolating Sunfire's abilities.
Can someone please post a scan of Iceman travelling with just his torso with a trail of ice. It was in "X-Men Chronicles #2" while he was talking to Gambit. It obviously shows him travelling in a different way, other than using his ice slide.
Another time when he did that same move was when he and Rogue were on a road trip. I think that was just before "Legion Quest".
