Everyone's new sometime." She giggled and her ear twitched a bit. She looked at the door and fumbled with her purse, removing some money for lunch. "Ah! This should be enough for the two of us." She smiled. Since she had no mother at home, she had been forced to get school food. She wished her mother was still alive. She missed her pb & j each day at school. She missed her mother so much. Kari's ears pinned down at the thought before they twitched and she looked back at him. "Ready to go?" She was turning timid again, yet not as bad as she could've been. She still wanted Ayuka by her side, but that desire was fading as she began to befriend this new figure.
