ha.

Some of the things I don't like about reggeaton are most of the singers goofy high pitched voices, the flow of the rappers and the fact that they all really think they're really ill. And most of the reggeaton jams i've heard around do have that same drum beat they've been using for years now; that i'm tired of.

Would Big Pun be considered reggaeton? Being a Boricua from tha Bronx, I would think so.

Hey Jacopex, wassap ese. I don't know if ALL reggaeton has the same beat--but most of Daddy Yankee's songs in his album "Barrio Fino" DO have the same beat and it sounds like a kettle drum to me....

one-two-three-FOUR!-one-two-three-FOUR!-one-two-three-FOUR!...

Gasolina, El Muro, Lo Que Paso, and Sabor Mejor all have it. As well as most of the other 19 songs on the album, homes. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, in fact it gives reggaeton it's own distinction from otra musica latina, que no?

i wouldn't think so. he does have the latin flavor in his music, but i wouldn't call it reggaeton.

Reggaeton is hot. I dont really care how it sounds. Hispanics are really into latino music genres like salsa, bachata, reggaeton, marinera, and all them. They have kinda the same beats to. Reggaeton is really made for hispanics when it started cuz its somethin we all like to hear. I listen to music that way. I jus listen to it cuz it sounds hot or i wanna dance to it wit a gurl at a club. Eighter way, its still one of the best genres in ma opinion.

Big Pun is hip hop, not at all reggaeton. As far as the Daddy Yankee thing, i havent heard of that b4, if he did, he's dead to me! blah but i am starting to get annoyed of that dude, he's way too overrated and that stupid musik video Rompe is on like all the time! But i dont think he would do that, he just doesnt seem like someone who would do that. Besides how the hell would he be able to tell who's mexican or not?! i mean... we pretty much look alike... how would he be able to differentiate what everybody's ethnic background is? dumb rumor... dont believe it

^ Agreed

Not only do Hispanics resemble eachother, it would be a very stupid buisness move on his part. We (Mexicanos) probly make up over 50% of his fanbase, que no?

Mostly but still, hes overated and one of the resons why hes so great is only his fans, thats it. He not known from people for other things. And everytime someone has a siscussion about reggaeton in real life, they always have to bring up Daddy Yankee. He's startin to really get overated.

Yea jus becuz he made 'mainstream for once" songs. Gasolina made everyone think daddy yankee hes one of the best. Americans dont know shit about reggaeton, and they all be thinkin they know it and they be thinkin who the best is. Thats so stupid, no wonder Daddy Yankee is so popular. Yea there so many PR's in america spreadin reggaeton all ova. Ricky martin and fatj oe should leave reggaeton to the best like Tego, Chicho Man, don omar, Luny tunes, Zion y Lenox, El general, Ivy queen and all them
