You never know, he could change his mind, but what more could he do with Spawn after Armaggedon ?
Todd says he doesn't want to do to Spawn what other companies do to thier characters. Todd hates constantly bringing characters back from the dead, he hates repeating the same story over and over, and he understands that the less often u do something, the more precious and meaningful it is.
He wants the Spawn series to be a masterpeice, and unfortunately, the only way to do that is to make it finite....not to stretch it to 5000 issues where the stories are recycles over and over (like w X-Men)
He will at issue 200, but he may change his mind and extend it further, depending on how interesting he can make it.....
If any of you guys read the last issue, you pretty much see where the story is headed.....
God and Satan's time to shine is pretty much ending. Sure, they're badasses and the entire series had lead to this..but something else, something scarier than Armaggedon is happening.....

He needs to FEED.....Mammon promised him (or her) the Earth....and Mammon swore that Spawn's current victory is going according to his plan.
what is it that happens to other serious that todd hates, is it the fact that JLA, and FF fight guys like galactus every other freaking day or what, i can see how its annoying, and he wants to be more serious for his fans, as long as the story is great and consistent, then we'd love to see more spawn, i think todd doesnt want that. to be in spawn 300 doing PIS crap where spawn snaps his fingers and destroys the omniverse when he shouldnt be doing that not that he isnt that strong now, but yeah if you prolong a character to much i guess PIS, CIS and other bad qualities come into play, not that there not entertaining, but they basically become an EH comic book nobody really cares they know peter parker, superman, and FF will never ever ever die.
beside that if you kill superman these days people would probably riot in the streets, but if you did this to spawn they would be touched, spawn is entertainment superman is kinda lke a drug, guy who always comes out on top no matter how bad the circomstances, while spawn is more down to earth, he deals with real stuff, and things dont always go as planned, when someone dies around them they stay dead, they dont alwys come back suddenly the next issue with out a mark, he has real emotional pain, and he doesnt hide it behind anything not a square job or blue cape or mask, his mask is actually his skin, wow thats taking a hero to a whole other level spiderman and superman can say look at my neat costume and spawn would say yeah really neat,,,,,,,,least you can take yours off, least you can live a normal life, least you dont have the burden of the universe around you and unlike you he might say to the specter i dont always win.
Everything you mentioned is what Todd McFarlane Hates.....he mentioned how he was heavily annoyed that Dr.Doom has told Reed Richards, for the 14th damn time how much he hated him and how he will destroy him, and never seems to accomplish that.
He hates how stories are basically resurrected and repeated, demeaning the value of the first time it was written, ex: Heart of the Infiniti, being nothing more than an updated rip off of Infinity Gauntlet, as Marvel's attempt to try and create a power which can rival or beat DC's Yahweh, Micheal, Lucifer, and Spectre....
He hates when characters are resurrected millions and millions of times, even though they were supposed to be dead.....
That is why Angela never came back to life....her death MEANS something since it is permanent.
If you look at the entire Spawn series, they never really had a cosmic scale character...now that they have the Cosmic Mother, her role in the story is SO significant, we do not JUST over look her, like we would easily over look Eternity or LT....
In Spawn, the Earth is treated like its OWN entity....a part of the Greenworld, the EArth ITSELF has a spirit, and is a force to be reckoned with (via. when Spawn and Angela defeated Urizen with the help of the planet Earth itself), while in Marvel and DC, planets are just giant rocks which explode on que.....in every fkn comic book, it gets retarted.....
The way Spawn is written makes every single aspect more and more precious, while in Marvel and DC, things are SO inconsequencial, we overlook at least 80% of MArvel and DC's storylines....
I remember back when I used to love Carnage, from Spiderman, now Carnage is a fkn joke....The entire Spiderman series is a joke to me now, it looks more like a cutsie graphic design, than an actual novel series.....
X Men has always been great, but now its being dragged into chaos.....
Superman started out as a propaganda character, and will DIE a propaganda character. I have very little interest in that comic book, and whenever I get excited over a fight with DArksied, the usual PIS ruins the story for me.....
Spawn is definately more down to Earth, he deals with more diverse struggles, his character is multi-faceted, while Superman's one-dimensional, "Justice and the American Way" shit is getting harder and harder to buy for more mature readers.
Spectre also seems to me to be more like Christian propaganda then anything....although I must admit I do enjoy him as a character, but I tend to think his comic books get too political, and try to serve as moral propaganda rather than a form of entertainment......
Thank God the same wasn't done with Lucifer.....
Spectre is way too powerful, therefore his struggles get taken less seriously.....Spawn series always keeps you on your toes...sometimes Spawn is the good guy, sometime he himself is the bad guy.....I love how the story of Spawn basically teases the reader and invites you into that emotional chaos that Spawn must endure....
Basically, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Justice League, etc. are being done to death, and pretty much suck
X-Men has the potential to be a lot more interesting, if they would just STOP trying to compete with DC, and write more original stories like they always had before....
Spawn succeeds as being as original and awesome as possible, without giving a shit about comparison to other comic books.....
i hope o can get all the spawn comics one day, i have most of the sandman comics but then the newest instalment of crossing midnight came out so that put a big kink in my collection i gotta start over basically or continue that perticular area, i like the comics that most people dont read about, texas chainsaw massacre, friday the 13th, doomed a horror anthology, lucifer i got all of them and looked everywhere for lucifer nirvana, i got promethea, and sin city, i got metal gear solid comics, and alot of crossgen stuff. if i was collecting marvel stuff id be drowning in the comics id have to buy a warehouse just to store them, i hope spawn will be in my collection, all issues, all one shots, and all mini's

MoM explains the reasons the purpose of implanting 6,000 souls in him. MoM also reveals that all of the 6,000 souls are know one with him their for all their knowledge and experience is know Spawns!!!
