The change in Anakin's dreams...

The second dream Anakin has about Padme is different from the first(duh stick out tongue ), but its also exactly what ends up happening, all the way down to Kenobi's dirty clothes. While the first dream was completely different, no Obi and she even says Anakin(I think).

What Im wondering, does Anakin do something between the dreams that changes what eventually happens? Granted Padme still dies, but maybe Anakin doesnt fall and become Vader.

I think as Palpatine comes more into play, and as the actual event comes ever closer, then the dream changes into the appropriate format.

I agree, as time went on and events unfolded, it changed the course of the future.

The real question is: Was Padme destined to die regardless of what Anakin chose to do?

No, if Anakin had NOT listened to Palpatine, and NOT fallen to the Dark Side, then she would have lived. Since it was his fall that shocked her into losing the will to live.

Nah because in AOTC he states he wants to prevent people from dying when his mother dies. So hes in reality obsessed with preventing death. This is what makes him Vader, he doesnt care about the dark side or jedi, he just wants to be the strongest and be able to prevent death.

yes. she would have died regardless, because she was meant to die. i guess you could say it was the will of the force. so, the premise of her death changed in his visions, but whichever turn the future took, she was still going to die.

I know the Force is alot like Fate in SW, but I can honestly not recall any event that has occurred (even in SW) in which something that was supposed to happen, happened, despite the changes in the events leading up to it.

Maybe he means that "IT'S ANOTHER "WHAT IF" thread confused

It can substitute for good conversation though. I think something would have a happened to Padme anyway, no matter what. Then she would have been in the OT stick out tongue
