I haven't gotten around to play it much yet, been a bit busy today, but tomorrow I will really give it a go.
I wasn't such a huge fan of the control system in the cell phase, but I got used to it after a little while and successfully managed my way through to the creature stage, where I have barely eaten some grass before turning off.
So if anyone else get it and perhaps would like to have any of my creations in their universe, simply search for Morridini in the Sporepedia.
IGN said this about the game in their review "Spore is undoubtedly an amazing accomplishment; it's just not quite an amazing game." but it still got a 8.8. I may get this game as I had fun with the creature creator demo and if it continues to receive good reviews
How do you add created content to your game? Like is it already there, or do you choose what you want added?
I just dont want my first playthrough bogged down with random crap I didnt create.
I think there was a setting for choosing what to inhabit your planet, but I didn't really care. So far I have mostly met maxis creations, two of mine I made with the Creature Creater Trial a few months ago (I hunted one to extinction), and two other creatures from random people.
After reading the reviews, I dont think Im going to pick it up.
When it says this, "Taken on their own, its pieces are nothing special. As parts of a singular ambitious vision, they work far better," I kinda step back a bit.
A special edition game, Spore: Galactic Edition, includes, in addition to the game, a "Making of Spore" DVD video, "How to Build a Better Being" DVD video by National Geographic Channel, "The Art of Spore" hardback mini-book, a fold-out Spore poster and a 100-page Galactic Handbook published by Prima Games.
heya, does anyone know where the saved files are for spore? I know about the "my creations" but where are the files for my progress located, for example ive got a small empire in the space stage, but its so easy for someone to delete my whole race and progress by clicking the delete button so I want to backup these things, is it possible nad if so, where can i find the files?
imo not entirely worth the money..the only thing there that interests me the the 'making of', and no doubt its already on youtube or some other video site
I got it simply because i think its a game worth dishing out some cash on, ive enjoyed it greatly so far so it payed off. I like a good read as well so the manuel is nice and since i love creating thing sthe artwork gives excellent inspiration
I was wondering why there was not many replies especially onits release, either it was a let down to some people, or everyone are too busy playing it to bother replying lol
personalyl I think its a great game and very clever, theres a lot of holes in it where I would want more things but everyone wants more in end, but some more content to beef up the fairly weaker stages earlier in the game, as well as some extra things to "spice" up (no pun intended) the space stage.
I think its a much better step towards the right direction of vast gaming fun on many levels than some of the conintious stream of FPS doing the same old thing and one track genre WW2 clones that can never beat CoH.
I've also been enjoying this game a great deal. I've not done much of the Space stage yet, though.
My favorite was the Creature stage, followed closely by the Civilization stage. Must be said, though, I was predatory and warlike throughout, so they may feel different playing more peacefully.
