Meh. Is it me, or were the Gunship Missile Expansions pointless?
And whatever happened to the "stackable beam system" ? I hardly consider 3 beams to be a stackable beam system like in Super Metroid. Then there was the scrapped power-ups (no Super Missiles, no Power Bombs, etc. There was also no Wave Beam, which they said they were gonna have beforehand ).
Corruption was great and all, but it should've been longer, especially since it had no multiplayer whatsoever...
The Nova Beam is obviously what they were calling the Wave Beam before. They just changed the name to something new because it only passed through Phazite instead of all walls. I do agree on my missing Power Bombs, though.
The Gunship Missiles weren't pointless, though, not at all. In any area open to the sky you can call in a bombing run to decimate a pile of enemies, for the cost of one Ship Missile.

I used the ship so much and I just beat the game. 82% completed...didn't save so I can go back and find all the rest of the items and get a 100% completion which usually has some hidden ending.
Well, don't get me wrong. I for one was against the lacking multiplayer mode that Echoes had (I've had SNES games with much better multiplayer than that). As for Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS, I was just against that altogether... Metroid and multiplayer simply don't mix.
If that's what you're implying, then I agree.
Oh. I guess that makes sense then. Plus, they had the Ice Missiles to make up for no Ice Beam. Thanks for clearing that up.
I wasn't saying the Gunship Missiles themself were pointless. Just the expansions they had for them (you know, like how there's Missile Expansions). To me, having expansions for the Gunship Missiles was just unnecessary since there weren't many parts in the game where you would use them.
Meh. I tried that, and was close. Got 98%. Guess I'll have to try harder to get 100% on the Hyper Mode difficulty...
Eh, I'm glad they put focus on just single player. What they could do though is come out with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Mutliplayer Mode. Or something like that to throw you into online play. I actually enjoy Hunters online mode. Just a thought...I doubt they'll do it though. Retro seems to respect Metroid too much to milk it for all its worth.
After how well they've done with the Metroid license, I really think Retro had more than earned the right to do their own thing now. I want to see Raven Blade come back, because wow that looked fantastic, even back in '01.
Let Nintendo put out another 2D Metroid, preferably Fusion's sequel.

The advanced controls take this game to the next level. Glad you are using them. I don't even think the other 2 options should have been included, they are useless.
In response to the spoiler question, I believe I answered that earlier in this page.
As for Hyper Mode (the difficulty), yeah. I'm currently having trouble with the first Phazon seed boss because those red orb things that the golem absorbs to repair itself are much harder to destroy this time around (making it harder to prevent him from gaining his parts back).
I just got my Wii today , waited a whole month for it to be delivered, and I'm definitely going to pick up a copy of MP3. The thing is: I've never played MP before, so...
Should I buy MP1 and MP2 as well?, do I need to play them before playing Corruption?, or is it a game that I can pick up and start playing right that moment? will I be confused for not playing the previous games? (I mean all this question Story wise, not gameplay)
Thanks

The story is not directly connected to the previous two games, but you will be left wondering why the heck this Phazon stuff is so important and dangerous, and where Dark Samus came from.

Just know this if you don't plan on playing the previous two [SPOILER - highlight to read]: In the first game Samus fought Metroid Prime (a powerful Metroid) and Samus had to leave her power suit after the battle and Metroid Prime fused with the suit to become Dark Samus
I could go into more detail but that's the main part of what Dark Samus is.
