And you're seriously underestimating what Flash could do in a second.

you are also underestimating the kind of shields these guys can put up.

they can put telekinetic shields, magnetic.

Is it just me or is the speed discrepancy between most D.C. and Marvel characters mentioned in just about every thread where said characters are pitted against each other? erm

The Flash and several top tier characters in DC can move at or near lightspeed. This means that if their opponents can not move close to that speed themselves, then just about every other power they posses is rendered useless.

For example, telepathy is useless if your opponent can put their fist through your head a thousand times before you can even form a thought.

Add to the fact that he can "steal" the speed of his opponents and your have a very difficult character to beat. And then add in Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and especially a Green Lantern and you are facing a team that can do just about anything. They are faster, stronger, more durable, more versatile, and better at energy manipulation than everyone save a collection of cosmic-level characters, imo.

Its not a question of if the Brotherhood can hurt the League (they can't), but of how many seconds their shields and other defenses will keep them alive.

What? GL's shields don't just protect from mind control but psi bolts as well. Plus Magneto can't manipulate GL in his shield.

Basically, read Kahn's post.

That fanboy stuff is crap. What else is Flash supposed to do in a battle? Dazzle everyone with a super speed breakdance routine?

Thor? Yes. The Flash's IMP should be quite effective against Thor.

Thanos? Not so much. Thanos casually owns a herald who has insane speed feats to his credit. He would be quite a difficult opponent.

But my point was that if you want a competitive fight you need cosmic or near-cosmic level characters (like Thanos) to fight against the JLA, imo.

Thanos has enough control over his molecules to resist Flash's kinetic energy tricks and is durable enough to withstand his hits.

Thor on the other hand? I'm not seeing why Flash can't beat him. Most people doubt Thor can stand up to a Superman speedblitz much less a Flash blitz. We KNOW Flash's punches are at least Superman level in impact and some evidence points to them being significantly stronger. We KNOW Flash could vibrate his hand through Thor's skull at the drop of a dime. We KNOW Flash could steal Thor's speed instantly. So yes, Flash can beat Thor. Note that I didn't say Thor can't beat Flash.

You act like I'm saying Flash is God. What I'm really saying is Flash is close enough to a God to ensure a victory for the League in this fight.
