I couldn't stop laughing when the Giant crab jump out. OMG!! I nearly lost it with the kid saying "I'm gonna beat you, and it's gonna hurt..because....heh. I dont KNOW!"
Yeah, that would be cool. Too bad I need to buy another bloody videocard and get Vista to use all that graphics. It will be cool though.
I'm not too exicted about the squad control, it feels like any other game also. Just hope the game lives to expectations and that scene with that huge spider thing in the demo actually looks that fun.
That Sony video was awesome. "Great features like realtime weapons changing and flipping over crabs"
" The game takes place with authentic and historically accurate battles from ancient Japan, so here's a Giant Crab"
So where I live, it will cost $757 including tax. Wow, that's ridiculous. Sony is seriously shooting themselves in the foot.
I liked how they kept splicing screens from that weird 'Afrika' game in there, funny shit.
Crytek has also said that the game will run pretty well on modest systems. The system they're using in all of the demos is running on one ATI Radeon X1900, and it's still pretty early in development. Optimization is key. A lot of people were blown away by how well they could run Half Life 2 on really modest systems and how good it still looked. The original FarCry was a similar thing, ran well and looked good on older systems.
sony sucks? it didnt say it was a perfect adaption of that historical period, simply that it was BASED during that time scale and is influenced by it. i think if he'd have said it was a simulation fighting game of that period then fair enough... just sounds like a bunch of xbox fanboys farting about with clips.... the game itself looks decent.

The whole concept of "fanboys" can go both ways. As an example...sony fanboys coming here to defend the PS3. It was only in attempt to have some fun. Unfortunally and as always there is always some uptight fanboy who will come here and get all protective.
It's not Sony's fault that the game doesnt look good, and it really doesnt look good, especially for a game thats was being touted as a major reason to buy an PS3. Even though it didnt state it was an perfect adaptation, but based on the ancient Japenese battles, where does a big crab come from and also, why would some gamer get exicted about a game about Japenese history. It's been done 8 million times.
It's the developers fault for creating a game that looks like shit. The only fault that Sony has is showing that game during the press conference and not showing Killzone 2.
And maybe, acting like prententious assholes for telling people that they dont need an PC because the almighty PS3 will take care of all your needs.
