Dude, it's an amazing game. It's getting non shooter fans interested in the genre. I picked it up today. AHAHA. I'll probably end up seeing most of you folks online tonight. My gamertag, if anyone's interested, is 'ixaigus'. Would've picked it up last night, but I didn't want to get caught in the madness of trying to get there first.

it's got me pissed off. im trying to fight the boss RAAM and i swear he's ****ing impossible. you can like do nothing to him. if you step in dark, you get ripped by those locusts things, if you get near him he kills you in 2 shots, what the **** do i do

I got gears of war today! well just a few hours ago and it's great!!! Oh and I just need to get used to the controls lol. I put it on Hardcore to get more out of the game but that was kicking my ass.

...casual is harder then **** as well, so goodluck on hardcore

Yeah, playing on Hardcore by yourself with no Co-op is pretty much borderline impossible so you won't be getting much out of the game at all b/c you won't be able to progress. Good Luck on that though.

Really, mostly all the reviews say that Hardcore is pretty much the way to go until the very end when its get super tough.

Overall, the majority of critics say that the difficult levels could of been tweaked an tad bit to get the balance between casual and hardcore.

As soon as the controls get second nature and type of gameplay it offers is second nature, then it will get easier.

Just like Halo.

No one could beat that game on legendary when it first came out, but now it's like the default difficulty level for people who play a lot.

Im already better, just by playing an extra few times.

I'm glad that alot of those emergence holes seal up after you kill a certain amount of enemies, or you kill the ones that came up.

I also like how some of the holes dont seal up. It's a very nice balance between both.

And I dont really mind playing hardcore and dying alot. The gameplay is soo good, the graphics are stellar that I never get frustrated because if you die, its not because the computer is cheap, its because your an idiot.

Well, I was being a tad overdramatic.

Pretty much my point is that the game is not cheap and if you die, its your mistake. I dont have a problem with that because the gameplay is soo fun. I just hate some games where the game gets cheap.

Yeah, I just left it out for some reason. I wanted Oblivion when I first heard about it,so I'll definitely be getting that one. I just hate to be late in getting games. Maybe that's why I didn't state it, but yeah, I'll get it anyways.

Yeah multiplayer is ace, too bad I get connection problems a lot, get dropped from a server or dropped from Xbox Live altogether. HOpefully it smooths itself out, though.

Well, you get sent back to the checkpoint. Usually the checkpoints are in good positions. That's pretty much.

Ok, I was thinking maybe you'd have to start the whole level over again, but with the way you were describing losing, it seemed like it was a lesser penalty than that.
