Three Act Tragedy by Agatha Christie

I liked this book a lot. Has anyone else read this book? I've some questions i dont know. Can someone clear them up for me?

1) How was Bartholomew murdered? When the glasses of port were delivered, how does the murderer know that Bartholomew would get the glass with nicotine poisoning in it?

2) What was the point of mrs. rushbridger? Why did she die? what was her role?

3) Why didn't that lady who claims to see Ellis's birthmark see the same birthmark on Charles Cartwright's hand when she asked him to extend it out?

If anyone can answer those three questions, id appreciate it. Thank you.
