Still I hated Millars Wolverine run equally... but I can't decided who's art I hate more Dillion or Romita Jr.

Anyway I think that feat is impressive for Captain America. I could be wrong but it sounds to me like Wolverine slit open an artery on Captain America's leg. If that was the case he should have bleed to death in a matter of minutes but I guess his blood clotted really fast and stopped the stem of blood... which led to the problem he has now.

Nah, Wolverine tells you exactly what he did, he gave Cap a 'massive hematoma.' Ever heard of one before? Well, I guarantee you've had, at least, a slight hematoma before.

Bruises.

A hematoma is just a collection of blood from internal bleeding.

If he had actually cut an artery, blood would have been pumping out, not just trickling like a shaving wound.

Oh. I don't have the issue on hand so I'm just remembering what I read/saw. I remembered there being a gash on Cap's leg so I guess I assumed he tried to cut the artery.

*shrugs*

"It's like an air bag in those new cars, but it's fulla blood. Swells up like that to protect your arteries from any more damage. Bad part is, the blood gets all clotted up an' nasty....an' if you ain't careful, that clotted blood'll break loose and go up into your heart. Or your brain."

"An' it'll kill ya deader'n dillinger."
